Introduction
Kompass can store multiple types of information related to your organization. From costs and prices of your projects to recorded hours of your employees, from project status to invoices, and from annual employee leave to training and learning activities, Kompass can monitor it all. Kompass provides numerous graphs in the Dashboard and KPI’s throughout the system that will assist you further with the management of your organization.
However, we are aware of certain statistics and data that can be viewed and managed better through spreadsheets. Our team has created such files to help you further in decision making. In these instances, Kompass works as the “data collector.” All you have to do is connect them with the spreadsheet. This will then update your file.
Within this guide, we will present all Core Spreadsheets along with instructions of use and suggest possible ways to best use them. They are split by operations.

Column Import Type
This column defines how you should import information from Kompass into the spreadsheet. There are three methods of linking Kompass data with the spreadsheet:
- Export from Kompass: Directly download from Kompass.
- Drop Into a Folder: Download the .csv and drop it into the folder where the core spreadsheet is saved.
- API Token: No need to download any file from Kompass. The spreadsheet will link with Kompass itself. You will need to provide your personal API Token for the file to refresh.
For the last two methods, be sure to always refresh your spreadsheet after updating the data. To do so, head to the [Data] tab and click Refresh All.
Column Data Used
Data can be exported from various areas of Kompass. This column states where we need to export data from. For example, "projects/ actions/ exports" are the exports as shown in the image below.
