Create a subcontractor for scheduling
Description of the issue
As most of our customers, you might have to work with subcontractors to complete your works. It is always helpful then to be able to assign your projects under their names on your schedule. That will assist your managers to know exactly what those subcontractors are doing. Not only that, you could allow your subcontractors to log in to Kompass (with limited access) to check their schedule.
First steps
In principal, a subcontractor will be recorded as a user. However, certain steps should be followed.
How to address the issue
Find more details on how to add employees in this article: How to Guides, Employees, Add and Edit Employees and Qualifications.
As can be seen in the article above, a subcontractor must be set as an external user and in case we need them on the schedule, we must assign schedule days.
We'd suggest placing them under "External" department and use a fake email like: sub_subbie1@none.com. That so Kompass will not accidentally be set to start sending emails to subcontractros.
As for permissions, we normally suggest creating a new permission group and include those permissions.
Note that you can record their working hours should you want to.
