Various actions with proposal items

Once you have created your first proposal item, there are several actions you can do to further edit them.

Copy or Move

Following your hard work on creating a highly complex proposal item, you would like to copy or move it either on the same proposal/project or on a different proposal/project. Select the proposal item and click "Actions".

Then select "Copy" or "Move".

Then, select where you want to copy or move the proposal item, either on the same project (for "copy") or to a different project (for "copy" and "move").

Set Accepted

For a proposal to be accepted, you will have to select at least one out of the proposal items and "Set Accepted".

Complete the "Set accepted" form.

6 Order Confirmation Details Enter any further details about the confirmation process. Required
7 Project Manager The manager in your organization who will manage the project. Required
8 Client Project Manager Client contact who is managing the project. Required
9 Deadline Set deadline for all works to be completed. Required

Remove Acceptance

In case you need to remove a previously accepted proposal item, select it and click "Actions", "Set Acceptance" again. In the new window, you can either change some of the available fields or click "Remove Acceptance".

Create Tasks

When a proposal item is accepted, you can easily create tasks so that you will schedule your employees. Select the proposal items and click "Create Tasks".

Note: you can only create tasks from already accepted proposal items. Also, as can be seen above, Monitoring is the parent proposal item and Topographic Survey is the child proposal item. To find out more about proposal items, check here: Proposal Items.

In the new window, you can select whether you want to create separate tasks for staff resources saved under that proposal item and prefixing the parent name to child task. When ready, click "Create".

As can be seen, in this instance, we have decided to create separate tasks and prefix the parent therefore:

  • "Monitoring" is prefixed to the task name (green)
  • one task is for SES-Junior Engineer while the other is for SES-Senior Engineer (red)

Delete

You can select the proposal items that you want to delete, click "Actions" and "Delete".
