Export data from QuickBooks Online

You will need to follow the steps below to extract all QB Online data that can be imported into Kompass.

  1. Sales Transactions: head to "Sales" (1), select "All sales" tab (2), and make sure you select "All transactions" on "Types" dropdown menu (3), and "All" for "Date" (4). Export data by clicking the export button (5).


  2. Products and Services: From the same page, we know head to "Products & services" (2) and export the data (3).

  3. Customers: From the "Customers & leads" menu (1), head to "Customers" tab (2), and export the data (3).

  4. Sales by Product/Service Details: Head to "Reports" (1), "Reports" (2) and "Standard" (3) tabs, and scroll down until you will find the "Sales and customers" group (4). Click "Sales by Product/Services Summary" (5).

    In the next screen, click "Export/Print" (1).

  5. Invoices and Received Payments: From the same screen as above, head to "Who owes you" this time (1), and click "Invoices and Received Payments".

    In the following screen, make sure you selected "All Dates" (1) and export the data (2).

  6. Open Invoices: the file we have just exported above, doesn't include any open invoices. Please make sure you'll also export them from the Reports page, Open Invoices.

  7. Suppliers: Click Search (magnifying glass) in upper right corner.

    Click "Go to transactions search".

    Click Transaction Type and Select Billable Charge.

    Select other filters, if needed, such as Date range and/or Contact. Click Export icon. 

    A .csv file is automatically downloaded.
