Check historical changes in Kompass
Description of the issue
Occasionally you might want to check who made changes to certain items of Kompass. For example, users might mistakenly change departments of proposal items, tweak status updates, amend invoice allocations etc. Most of the times that is happening due to a poor understanding of Kompass and its database. We and/or our customers can then educate those users on how to correctly use Kompass. Additionally, extra permission constrains can be implemented to avoid such future changes.
First steps
Checking of the history can be only performed by the Kompass champion of your organization or the Kompass BMS team.
How to address the issue
From the API Admin, select the category and entry you want to check the history from.
Once in the record, click "History" at top right.
A new screen will appear with all historical changes for the certain entry.
As we can see, there have been three changes made on 07-21-2023, two of them by rgarcia and one by abrown. Select the entry you want to check to find out exactly what has been changed. Note that if you will scroll down to the bottom of the page, you can revert this entry to an older version.
