Edit an existing leave

  • Go to the “Leave” page and click the date next to the leave you want to edit. Note that if your leave has been already approved by your manager, you will not be able to edit it.

  • Click "Edit".

  • Make any necessary changes to the fields below:

3 Days Number of working days on leave. You can record your leave in days and/or hours. This must be entered manually and is not automatically calculated by Kompass.
4 Hours Number of working hours on leave. You can record your leave in days and/or hours. This must be entered manually by the user.
5 Total Hours Adds values of both days and hours booked. The number of hours in a workday is defined by your company. You cannot edit this field.
6 Leave Type Different options for the leave as set based on your contract and/or HR department. The different types are configured by your Kompass Admin.
7 Details To be added by user. Details of the leave.

If you want to book a one-day leave, you must not request both days and hours. Kompass will assume that you are booking one full day plus any hours you might add. It is good practise to only use either days or hours when booking your leave.

  • When ready, click "Save" (1) or "Delete" (2) if you want to cancel your leave.

In case you are a manager and want to edit the leave of one of your employees, you should first select the person you want to edit their leaves from the drop-down menu on top of the page.

Follow the steps described above. Once done, there are five buttons in the form.

1 Cancel Cancels any changes you might have made in the form.
2 Save Saves all changes you might have made in the form.
3 Approve If the leave has been previously approved, this button is deactivated. If the leave has been previously refused, this button will be active allowing you to approve it.
4 Refuse If the leave has been previously approved, this button will allow you to refuse it. If the leave has been previously refused, this button will be deactivated.
5 Delete Even though the "Approve" and "Refuse" options will retain the entry in Kompass for the user to see, if you delete the leave it will disappear entirely.
