Edit an existing contact

Steps

  • Go to the Contacts page and click either the name or surname of the contact you want to edit.

  • Click "Edit" in the top right corner. Notice there are quotes and projects associated with this particular contact.

  • Edit details as needed. Notice that the "Delete" button is greyed out. When there are quote and/or projects associated with this contact, it cannot be deleted. When finished editing, click "Save" in the top right corner.

Fields

Name Description
Organisation [required] The organisation this contact belongs to.
Title Title (Mr, Mrs, etc) if used
First Name [required] First/given name
Last Name [required] Last name/ Surname/ Family name
Email [required] Email address for this contact
Opt Out Date when the user opted out of marketing information. This is used if contact lists are used for marketing purposes. By default the contact is opted in because there is a business relationship.
Position Contact’s position or title in their company, e.g., Project Manager, CEO, Head of Department, etc.
Mobile Phone Mobile/ cell phone number
Office Phone Office phone number
Lead Source [required] How we obtained the contact details
Source Details Additional details about how we were connected with the contact
Organisation Address [read-only] The address of the organisation
Contact Address (if different) If the contact has a different address from the organisation address (e.g., they are in a different office), then enter it here. If this address is not used, then the organisation address will be used for the contact.
Notes Any additional notes to record for the contact.
Tags Tags linked to the contact which can be searched.
Inactive Date after which, the contact will be marked as inactive. This is normally used when a contact has left their organization. Contact name will not be listed in the contacts list however, it will be listed in their organization page, marked as inactive.
